The Grand Lodge Knights of Pythias of the State of New York mourns the passing of one of their most esteemed brothers, PGC Steven Krochmal, who passed away on April 13, 2002.
Steven, a member of United Queens Lodge, #175, served as Grand Secretary from 1993 through 1998, and again from 1999 until his untimely passing. His Mother Ann, his Brothers Saul and Sheldon and families survive him.
He served our beloved order as Grand Secretary and Supreme Tribunal Recorder and earned the title of Past Grand Chancellor in 1998.
The officers and members of the Grand Lodge of New York join me in extending our heartfelt sympathy to those who loved him and were close to him.
In memory of this distinguished Pythian and beloved fraternalist, I Kenneth Danker, Grand Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias, domain of New York, do proclaim a period of mourning to continue for thirty days from the reading of this Proclamation (or through May 31, 2002). I direct that with appropriate ceremonies, the charter of each subordinate Lodge and Grand Lodge be draped in affectionate recollection of our departed beloved brother.
Given under my hand and under the great seal of the Grand Lodge and attested by the Grand Secretary thereof, on this fifteenth day of April, two thousand two, and Pythian Period CXXXIX.
Kenneth Danker, Grand Chancellor
